Meredith Long

Meredith was born and raised on the Jersey Shore. She moved to New Orleans in 2004 to marry her best friend, Ford Dieth who is also a graduate of Shenadoah. Meredith is a graduate of the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in 1994. She lived in New York City until 2004 and has performed off-Broadway, in national tours, on cruise ships, and in various regional theatres around the country. Her past credits include: Ruthless, where she won the Big Easy Award for Best Actress, The World Goes Round, and Tunes at Le Petit Theatre, “Miss Mona” in The Best Little… at the Biloxi Grand, “Ms. Pennywise” in Urinetown at Rivertown Repertory Theatre and “Mother Superior” in Nunsense at the WWII museum.

Meredith also portrayed “Cha Cha” in the national tour of Grease with Frankie Avalon and Chubby Checker, “Ethel Toffelmyer” in The Music Man with Tony Award winners Gary Beech and Terrence Mann, and in the original cast of Theatreworks USA’s national tour of Just So Stories. She was in the Prince Street Players’ national tour of Cinderella and Merry Go Round Summer Stock in the Finger Lakes. She also worked for The Disney Cruise Line and numerous regional and touring companies. Meredith continues to perform, direct, and study throughout the greater New Orleans area. She has taught talented theatre in St. Tammany Schools for Ten years. She is currently the Director of Performing Arts at St. Martin’s Episcopal School in Metairie. Meredith performs frequently around New Orleans. You may also have seen her on TV in the new Lunchables commercials. She is also a proud member of Actors’ Equity and is very involved with the local Equity committee. Meredith and her husband, Ford Dieth, reside in beautiful River Ridge with their three boys and three dogs.
